This Data Policy is our collection notice. It explains, at the point you share information with us through our website or otherwise, what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how we protect it. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how to access or correct your information and how to make a complaint.
If you are a candidate or job seeker
What we collect: the details you give us in our candidate form or otherwise, including your name, email, phone, industry or discipline, preferred location, the role you are applying for, your message and your CV, plus any information we later collect from interviews, referees and checks you agree to.
Why: to assess your experience, match you with suitable roles, contact you about opportunities and, with your agreement, put your details forward to employers.
Who we share it with: prospective employers you agree to be put forward to, your referees, check providers you consent to, and the service providers that host our website, forms, email and files.
If you don't provide it: we may not be able to consider you for roles or represent you to employers.
Required by law: an employer may be required to confirm your right to work in Australia, or to check certain licences, tickets or clearances for a role. We will tell you if a role needs these.
Overseas: information submitted through our website, including your CV, is stored by our website provider in the United States.
If you are an employer or client
What we collect: your name, organisation, contact details, the roles and requirements you share with us, and our communications with you.
Why: to understand your recruitment needs, find and present suitable candidates, provide our services and keep business records.
Who we share it with: candidates (limited to what they need to know about the role, such as the organisation and role details, where you agree), and our service providers.
If you don't provide it: we may not be able to provide our recruitment services to you.
If you are a referee
We collect your name, role, contact details and the information you give us about a candidate, so we can assess the candidate's suitability for a role. We may share your feedback with the prospective employer. We generally treat references as confidential and will not give the candidate a copy without your consent, unless the law requires it.
Website enquiries
When you submit a form on our website, the information you enter (and any file you upload) is sent securely over HTTPS to our website provider, Webflow, Inc., stored on its servers in the United States, and emailed to our team at hello@solvetalentgroup.com.au. We use it only to respond to your enquiry and for the purposes described above.

How long we keep information
- Candidate records (CV, contact details, notes): kept while you are actively looking for work with us and generally for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, so we can consider you for future roles. After that we delete or de-identify them, unless you ask us to keep them longer.
- Website form submissions: copied into our recruitment records and deleted from our website platform, generally within 90 days.
- Records of placements and client dealings: kept for up to 7 years where needed for tax, accounting, insurance or legal purposes.
- Unsolicited information we do not need: destroyed or de-identified as soon as practicable.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner by emailing hello@solvetalentgroup.com.au. We will do so unless we are required by law to keep it.
